Our Business Engagements

We have a history of identifying market opportunities and positioning clients to
successfully access them. We have helped clients reduce cost, maximize profitability
through analysis, process refinement and resource management. We have helped
clients attain funding by assisting them in developing business and marketing plans
that give the funding organization the information needed to make positive
decisions. And we have helped clients prepare themselves to reach the stage where
they can qualify for funding.

We have been most effective working with small to mid-sized companies with direct
management to employee relationships. We can also be effective on a department by
department level within larger companies where a director is responsible for the
whole department.

One of the things we often hear when talking to businesses is they can't afford to hire
a business consultant.

Before we start an assignment for a business we perform a holistic assessment. This
is a required portion of our consulting agreement. During the assessment we review
all parts of the company from the bottom up and the top down, from hard numbers to
company culture. We generate a report on the overall health of the company and
detail problems with potential resolutions. We submit the report to the principal and
discuss options for addressing the issues. Often we find this process so enlightens the
client they are then able to address the problem on their own, making it a very cost
effective solution. They move forward with no additional services needed. If the
problem is not this easily addressed, the analysis will provide valuable information on
all the factors potentially involved in addition to the original issue.

From this report we prepare a proposal which contains the entire scope of options for
resolution. The negotiations that follow will be based on the client's priorities,
budgeting, etc. and will determine which items can be performed in-house by the
client, which services we can provide and which services the client may want to
contract from other sources. The proposal would likely contain some of the following
elements: Process Development, Seminars and Training, Project Management,
Facilitation and Market Development.

These are a sample of some services we provide in a typical engagement, though we
can provide most forms of business consulting services either in-house or through our
professional partnerships. We provide business services for all stages of business
from start-up to expansion to mature companies seeking to garner or maintain
market share in changing technologies, emerging or foreign markets.
